Rural Development Initiatives

RDI are a not-for-profit company that exists to to improve the profitability and sustainability of rural and land-based businesses.  The focus of the business is delivering large and complex projects in partnership with or under contract to public sector partners and funders, across the UK.

NEWHeat

NEWHeat is a service funded by One NorthEast to provide impartial advice to businesses in order to promote viable wood heat projects in the North East.  NEWHeat is project managed and delivered by Rural Development Initiatives.
Services provided by NEWHeat include:

  • Appraisal and initial feasibility assessment
  • Fuel supply advice
  • General advice and support
  • Tender and procurement process

Ignition09 is funded through the NEWHeat project.
